The Inquirer has started its answer to the Next Mayor project: a mayoral race blog called Mayorpalooza and featuring some familiar names from the local beat. I guess it started about a month ago. Welcome to the pond!

Not to worry, Fitzy's not going anywhere. He's back on the Inquirer's City Desk. Fret not.
Excellent! It seemed a poor strategic choice for the paper, as informed local news coverage should be a strength here. Glad to hear they changed their minds. (I did wonder, when I read the Weekly article that mentioned some 11 retirements being found to prevent lay-offs, whether those spared included familiar faces. But I didn't hear much after the first announcements...)
