No transit news is sad news

The Daily News reiterates the differences between SEPTA and TWU 234 and the mess that the strike generates each rush hour. The Inquirer looks at how local workers' wages and benefits stack up against those of transit folks in other big cities (and notes that New York may be next to feel the brunt of disagreements over health coverage). No talks are currently scheduled.

More entertainingly, the Daily News sent off a group of its reporters on a quest to find the most efficient route(s) through town (alternatives to the editor's usual route) in current messy conditions. Each one reports how they fared.
