I don't doubt that some progress has been made, but for an educator to support NCLB is hard to understand. The entire concept of forcing teachers to teach to tests and paying teachers on the basis of ESL and special needs students' performance on standardized tests, effectively lays the groundwork for privatization of public education, and is just poor pedagogy.
