New ethics initiatives in the pipeline!

Councilman Michael Nutter continues to spearhead the ethics reform movement, yesterday introducing two new bills that would address bidding for city contracts and the establishment of an independent Board of Ethics, respectively. Related efforts are underway as well:
The committee will also consider bills to require that campaign- expense reports be published on the city's Web site and a bill setting up disclosure requirements and campaign-contribution limits for those who gain city financial assistance such as tax-increment financing or abatements.
The Inquirer's article on the same story notes that Nutter's two new measures are related to the Charter Change measure being put to the voters on Tuesday (see related story/description of the measure). Keep 'em coming!
